Regional Head of Destination Marketing East Africa (Agri Commodities)

Position Summary

This position is responsible for coordinating regional sales, logistics, inventory and pipeline management, as well as sales forecasts and other aspects of a regional sales and distribution business in East Africa (Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda and surrounding countries) for ADM Global Trade. The role includes the set-up of the business structure including processes and procedures, risk monitoring, entering logistical service agreements, FX hedging infrastructure, amongst others.

Required Experience

Experience in international and regional grains and oilseeds trading;
Demonstrated knowledge of relevant regional and international markets;
Proven ability to work within a functional, team-based work environment;
Strong pipeline and inventory management skills, as well as forecasting future demand;
Knowledge and previous management of commodity and foreign exchange hedging;
Experience in developing new markets is desired;
Managerial experience preferred;
Cursory knowledge of controlling and accounting concepts is preferred.

Responsibilities

Build the volumes and profitability of regional sales of agricultural commodities;
Manage a logistical pipeline, inventory, and forecasts for sales;
Manage cost structures of regional service providers;
Develop and build sales strategies and growth plans for the company;
Develop new business opportunities and sales channels alongside customer relationships.
Develop existing and new customers and suppliers in the country

Education

Related Bachelor’s degree is preferred, relative work experience is acceptable.

Experience

10 years of experience in agricultural commodity trading and logistics field with consistent results in achieving sales targets and profitability objectives.

Languages

Fluent in English – essential
Fluent Swahili – preferred
