Key Responsibilities

MTD & YTD Performance Reporting

Should be able to review and approve PPR for Subsidiaries and SMEC International with the Corporate Financial Manager’s approval.
Should ensure that transactions as per PPR are true and correct.
Should be able to review PPR with the Operation Manager & Functional Managers.
Should ensure all required journals are booked and all journals that require rebooking are rebooked.
Should adjust PPR results with Update IS for FX rates, FWD Rate adjustment, and bad debt provisions.
Should be able to develop their financial models and to achieve this. (Obtain financial data from our database and export into PowerBI).
Should develop automated reports as requested for analysis. (Migrate to PowerBI where possible)
Obtain list and values of projects replanned during the year (Obtain this from the system over the years)
Must be able to prepare Monthly Flash Report and develop own table to report in line with group report and Migrate to PowerBI
Must ensure timesheets are booked on time.
Must prepare monthly reports on time.
Utilisation report (Migrate reporting to PowerBI). Analyse. Update employee information to be allocated to correct codes.
Should clear timesheet clearing account monthly.
NWW analysis (Migrate reporting to PowerBI) and WIH analysis (Migrate reporting to PowerBI)
Must be able to close projects.
Must Complete Ad-Hoc reports as requested by supervisor and management.

Debtors and WIP

Must obtain updates for Material Aged Debtors from the Operation Manager and Regional Managers.
Should be able to obtain updated comments for high-risk WIP.
Obtain comments for WIP+200K and Debtors+60days.
Review comments for reasonableness, accuracy, and appropriateness
Check if PM/OM/RM are delivering on their actions/promises from prior months.
Review long outstanding debtors/WIP for write-off
Update the debt &WIP provision monthly.
Should be able to reconcile progress to fees earned at a detailed project level.
Prepare a forecast for bad debt provision and identify significant debt that will reach 4+ years outstanding.
Must analyze the debt for recoverability by reviewing each invoice as per the invoice aging listing.
Prepare Debt and WIP monthly report: Actual, Budget vs Forecast.
Should be able to prepare provisions for bad debt, prepare provisions for WIP, and Prepare for bad debt w/o
Migrate WIP & Debt Reports to PowerBI

Budgeting and forecasting

Must be able to prepare an annual budget.
Should be able to prepare quarterly forecasts.
Should be able to Liaise with the Operation Manager, Regional Manager, Functional Managers, and Regional Director to obtain inputs for the budget (Forecast/WIP/OH).

Key Qualifications and Experience

Must have 3 years’ experience as a manager in the same position.
Must have CPA (K) Qualifications
Must have Proficiency in Data Management/Mining
Preferred knowledge in Python/SQL/System implementation experience/SAP Experience.
Must have exceptional knowledge and Experience in Excel and Finance Skills IF, Embedded IF, INDEX, MATCH, HLookups, VLookup, SumIFs, Macros, and visual basic Pivot.
Must have strong Analytical, critical, problem-solving, math, team players, speaking truth to power, project management, driver, and tech languages.
Must be familiar with the use of Reporting systems.
Must be able to Coordinate with the system team/GSS and Group Finance.
Must have strong communication and collaboration abilities.
Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
