Project Manager, Global Operations

We are looking for a dynamic individual to work with our corporate and in-country teams to track our global project targets, juggle the moving pieces and provide support to management to ensure our projects are achieved on time and meeting quality standards. The Project Manager will manage global project activities and data, organizing moving pieces and priorities with tight timelines aligned with seasonality, ensuring efficient use of labor, logistics and resources as well as reporting requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Management & Reporting

Manage project priorities, milestones and deliverables across operations, developing a system visible to team members to track progress.
Assist in the development of the Annual Plan of Operation (APO) for each project, having them completed by 1 November each year for effective design and planning.
Own progress tracking and day to day oversight on operational targets against APOs, presenting data that will guide management decisions, keeping operations on time and on budget, and meeting quality standards.
Work with in-country teams to conduct quality checks and audits, verifying aspects such as species distribution against planning, field plant spacing, number of plants per compartment, health of the plants and compliance with SOPs.
Write and produce high quality operational reports for external stakeholders such as monthly project updates and milestone reporting.
Assist in the creation of internal policies, standard operating procedures and internal operational reports.
Assist in the assessing of new project opportunities against eligibility frameworks, including carrying out field visits.
Oversee in country monitoring teams during carbon monitoring events, and ensure high quality of data flows.

Data Management

Manage data collection systems and where necessary improve pre-existing spreadsheets and data collection systems, such as survey tools, to improve efficiency and reduce errors.
Create and maintain rich interactive visualizations through data interpretation and analysis, integrating various reporting components from multiple data sources across all countries of operation and including predictive analysis, ensuring this data is updated weekly and submitted to senior management.
Work with finance, operations and impact teams to understand and maintain focus on analytical needs, including identifying critical metrics and KPIs and keeping dashboards updated so actionable insights are constantly available to decision-makers.
Implement & own a data governance process & policy that ensures relevant controls & data recovery are in place for editing & access to data.
Provide any training required to our senior leadership team & in-country teams on using the solution.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s or Post Graduate Degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Forestry or a related field.
10+ years’ experience including 5+ years focusing on project management, with experience in an agricultural or forestry setting desirable.
Ability to travel up to 8 weeks per quarter.
Excellent excel skills for building complex spreadsheets in an easy to use manner.
Experience with the creation of dashboards or other data visualizations tools a plus.
Experience with nature based solutions projects a must.
Meticulous attention to detail, with the ability to shift priorities and rapidly realign project activities and under high pressure timeframes.
Excellent communication and people skills, with the ability to communicate effectively from unskilled workers through to stakeholders to company investors.
Acute sense of responsibility and problem solving skills.
Ability to work in a fast paced environment as part of a multi-national entrepreneurial company
Fluent in English with strong verbal and written communication skills.
