Business Development Manager

Key Responsibilities:

Contact potential clients and arrange meetings.
Generate leads and cold call prospective customers.
Meet clients face-to-face or via phone.
Plan and oversee new marketing initiatives.
Increase the value of existing customers while attracting new ones.
Find and develop new markets to improve sales.
Develop and present quotes and proposals.
Negotiate with stakeholders and close deals.
Develop growth strategies and plans.
Set and achieve goals for business development.
Attend conferences and industry events.
Follow industry trends locally and internationally.
Report on successes and areas needing improvement.
Identify and map business strengths and customer needs.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Sales marketing, business administration or related course.
Over 10 years of experience in business development/sales with regional sales experience
Understanding of the financial ecosystem and financial technologies in East Africa, especially in Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda.
Relevant experience from SW/technology companies, fintech, or financial institutions focused on digital banking or global transactions.
Must have a previous regional responsibility in East African markets.
