The Role:
This role is responsible for the project coordination of the Transformative Impact Fund (TIF). It supports implementing countries to understand and apply for funds; supports the Allocation Committee in the administration around selecting implementing countries and the systems required for effective project management, including budget management; and supports implementing countries to develop Monitoring Evaluation and Learning (MEL) frameworks and be part of federation reporting. In addition, the role facilitates learning and communication across implementing countries and collates knowledge around transformative programming and impact to share internally and externally, for further impact and to facilitate financial sustainability.
Who we’re looking for a candidate with:
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in development related fields, social sciences with a strong programme/project development and management component or at least 5-7 years’ leading, and doing programme design and implementation, monitoring evaluation and learning. A Masters degree will be an added advantage.
Specific and substantial experience of designing and implementing Human Rights-Based development programmes with people living in poverty and exclusion in the global South.
Project management experience
Proven experience of using Human Rights Based Approach- (HRBA) in designing and implementing development programmes in the global South, with clear hands-on experience of implementing or directly supporting the whole programme/project cycle from end to end.
Experience of providing MEL support to HRBA programmes/ projects, tracking change, evaluating shifts in power and structural changes.
Excellent quantitative and qualitative MEL skills and familiarity with current approaches. Strong analytical and conceptual skills
Ability to document programme/project experiences and generate knowledge and learning to inform future of the programme/project.
Participatory leadership style with negotiating and influencing skills – without the power of direct line management.
Able to work closely with others (often from a distance) to meet tight deadlines and multiple priorities; able to work collaboratively across multiple teams and levels.
Specific and substantial experience of designing and implementing human rights-based development programmes with people living in poverty and exclusion majorly in the global South.
Familiarity with the Human rights-based approach and participatory methodologies
Programme/project management skills.
Ability to document programme/project experiences and generating lessons learnt and knowledge.
Proven ability to persuade and inspire through communication, as well as negotiate and influence change, with sensitivity.
Able to work closely with others (often from a distance) to meet tight deadlines and multiple priorities.
Ability to work in a multicultural context/environment and demonstrate innovative Practices.
Experience of working with, monitoring, analysing and reporting on budgets
Excellent written and spoken English. A second language will be advantageous
