Responsibilities:
Respond to phone and email inquiries regarding the safari camp in the Mara, providing detailed information and assistance to potential guests.
Establish and maintain relationships with travel agents locally and internationally, promoting the Amazing Mara safari camp and upselling its offerings.
Develop mid-range and luxury safari itineraries across Kenya, catering to the diverse preferences of clients.
Adapt to working hours that accommodate inquiries primarily from North America, ensuring prompt responses and excellent customer service.
Coordinate with the existing reservations team to streamline booking processes and ensure a seamless guest experience.
Split time between the Masai Mara camp and remote work from home, demonstrating discipline and efficiency in both settings.
Utilize resources from the company’s robust marketing team to enhance sales efforts and capitalize on lucrative commission opportunities.
Requirements:
Proven experience in sales or customer service roles, with a track record of achieving targets and delivering exceptional service.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with clients and travel agents.
Familiarity with the travel and tourism industry, particularly in the context of African safaris and luxury travel experiences.
Willingness to work irregular hours, including weekends and evenings, to accommodate international clientele.
Ability to collaborate with team members, share insights, and contribute to a positive work environment.
Proficiency in using computers, including MS Office suite, email, and reservation software. Experience with CRM systems is a plus.
Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines, while maintaining high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
