Responsibilities
Reporting to the Chief Officer, the officer will be responsible for;-

Coordinating all the activities of the Department
Overseeing and coordinating the implementation of work plans, strategies and program plans
Coordinating and Organizing stakeholder’s forums to identify needs and to monitor and evaluate implementation
Coordinating preparation of detailed departmental Land use reports
Coordinating research and mapping of Land use patterns
Coordinating drawing of strict guidelines and regulation on building structures
Overseeing operations of the department
Perform any other assigned duties.

Requirements

Bachelors Degree in either Land Economics, Urban/ Regional Planning or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution
Masters Degree in the relevant discipline
Computer Proficiency
Minimum 7 years relevant experience
Good Interpersonal skills
Self-motivated and able to work under pressure
Registered and Licensed by a professional body as applicable
Full member of Institution of Surveyors of Kenya/Kenya Institute of Planners
Demonstrated managerial, administrative and professional competence in work performance and an understanding of policies, objectives and ability to relate them to the functions.
