Quality Control Manager

Roles and Responsibilities

Develop and implement quality control processes from feed to fish production stages.
Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Collaborate with operations and sales teams to establish and maintain quality benchmarks.
Work with cross-functional teams to identify process improvement opportunities.
Implement continuous improvement initiatives for enhanced efficiency and product quality.
Analyze data and trends to address potential quality issues proactively.
Stay updated on industry regulations and standards for compliance.
Conduct internal audits to assess adherence to regulatory requirements.
Liaise between departments to address quality concerns and facilitate communication.
Collaborate with suppliers to maintain quality standards in the supply chain.
Prepare regular reports on quality assurance performance for management.
Provide staff training on quality assurance protocols and procedures.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (food science, aquaculture, biology, or related).
Must have 5 years’ experience in quality assurance within aquaculture or food production.
Strong knowledge of industry regulations and quality standards.
The ideal candidate should be someone that has experience as a manager in food or flower production industries (flowers, vegetables/herbs, fish, dairy, pharma to name a few) in an environment with international quality standards.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data.
Leadership experience (quality team management experience) and the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment and drive change management focused on people adhering to processes.
