Main Responsibilities
The intern shall provide support in the following roles and responsibilities.
Support Program implementation.
Support in Programmatic Reporting.
Undertake field Project Visits and Logistical Arrangements such as procurement and bookings.
Reconciliations of funds provided.
Undertake political and contextual analysis relating to program implementation.
Convene and participate in programmatic and staff meetings.
Provide social media and communication support.
Provide support in fundraising through the development of Concept notes and proposals.
Participate in discussions related to documents being developed, e.g., Organizational Strategy, Communication Strategy, and White Papers.
Undertake other duties that may be assigned by the Program Advisor.
2. Qualifications
The Oslo Center is looking for applicants with the following sets of qualifications.
University degree, preferably in Law, Political Science, International Relations, Business Administration, or a related field.
Those who are awaiting graduation are eligible to apply but must present their certified university transcripts and a recommendation letter from the university.
A good understanding of the political background and recent developments in Kenya, particularly regarding political parties and alignments, electoral institutions, gender, and issues around women and youth.
Knowledge of political parties and legislative activities.
Strong professional oral and written communication skills in English.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Docs, and other computer-based software.
Well-organized and skilled in prioritizing and managing multiple tasks.
Flexible, diligent, and team oriented.
