Job Description
This is a full-time role as a Chemical Sales Representative at Rose Avenue Consulting Group. The Chemical Sales Representative will be responsible for day-to-day tasks associated with sales, including prospecting and acquiring new clients, maintaining relationships with existing clients, conducting product presentations and demonstrations, negotiating contracts and agreements, and achieving sales targets. This is an on-site role located in Nairobi County, Kenya.
Job Responsibilities
Visit those markets whenever needed to introduce the client, generate sales and build up relationship with clients.
Provide sales assistance to the team on the ground, daily follow up, supervise and design customer’s visits.
Address business inquiries from customers and follow up on customer invoicing and ensuring deliveries are prompt.
Introduce new products to these markets.
Prepare sales reports on visits every week.
To follow up with existing clients, and to introduce the client to new clients in Africa
Prepare and follow up, weekly, monthly and quarterly sales forecast. Compare sales forecast to Actual sales achieved on monthly base.
Maintain and build key customer relationships.
Drive and achieve sales orders/numbers and achieve gross profit margin goals.
Uncover and develop new business: new customers/new products
Link between customer/base market needs and the Client
Uncover customer needs and translate to Management.
Other Requirements
Proven sales experience in the chemical (Solvents/ Plastic) industry
Strong knowledge of chemical products and their applications
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients
Negotiation and closing skills
Ability to work independently and achieve sales targets
Flexibility and adaptability to changing market conditions
Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software
Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field
