QA Manager

Job objective
As the QA Manager you will be Responsible for ensuring accepted standard are maintained, systems custodian for the pack house. Product, process controls: Responsible for consistency around implementation of processes, continuous reinforcement and developing solutions that are sustainable for food safety, legality, authenticity, and quality. Ensure full customer and food safety compliance.
Your tasks and responsibilities

Ensure that laid down Quality management systems are always adhered to within production unit to guarantee that the product conforms in terms of quality, safety, integrity, authenticity, and legality.
Investigating looking for ways of improving the current systems / practice applied in production whenever there is a change in market standards.
Understanding the requirements for audits and customer visits and ensure timely and accurate closure of all audit findings and be able to undertake adequate preparations for customer visits / audits.
Ensuring that documents / records in use are current, the correct version and competed in way that is unambiguous and clear.
Ensuring that the pack house is well equipped with required QA working tools including effective cleaning equipment’s, traceability aids, conforming measuring devices.
Chief custodian of the pack house audit matrix and pack house audit reviews, ensure all audits findings are punched into the technical manager audit window.
In conjunction with the head of QA complete timely review of the food safety QA manual and be the trigger person for all site driven QA manual reviews.
Participate in all site audits both field and pack house with a clear understanding of required food safety and social compliance standards.
Schedule and conduct all factory standards audit in line with customer expectations.
Custodian for the site micro standards and complete full review and investigation of any micro standard deviations reported.
Familiarize with all customers’ finished product and raw materials specifications and act as the prime contact person for all finished product and raw material specifications.
Guiding pack house production to ensure that the production process yields products that consistently satisfy expected customer quality attributes.
Handle all customer complaints and claims with timely feedback on action plan to all the relevant teams.
Plan and manage all staff internal training.
Responsible for all pack house labels control discipline.
Responsible for pack house for pack house cleaning plan, maintain and update the cleaning plan.
Actively engage in new product development, feedback and data analysis including gas data for continuous improvement, retain and maintain NPD data including NPD tracker.
Ensure HACCP review for all new products including creation and review of existing process flow.

Your profile

A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as food science, chemistry, biology, or a related discipline is often required.
Over 5 years of direct hands-on experience in quality assurance or a related field, with progressively increasing levels of responsibility in a Veg Farm.
Prior experience in a managerial role, overseeing quality control processes and leading a team.
Familiarity with quality management systems (QMS) such as ISO 9001, HACCP, or other relevant standards.
Proficiency in statistical analysis and quality improvement techniques such as Six Sigma, Lean
Manufacturing, or Total Quality Management (TQM).
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effectively conveying quality-related information to various stakeholders.
High moral standing with impeccable integrity.
Proficient Computer skills in MS Office applications, particularly with Excel.
Analytical mindset, excellent interpersonal and communication skills and team player facilitating crossfunctional collaboration.
