Head of Finance Reconciliation Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Finance to oversee our financial operations and drive financial excellence. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial reporting, tax and compliance, and financial planning and analysis functions.

Responsibilities:
Financial reporting:

Lead the preparation and analysis of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with Accounting Standards regulatory requirements, and internal policies
Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, bank reconciliations, intercompany reconciliations and financial statement reviews.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to provide financial insights and analysis to support decision-making and business strategy.
Develop and implement financial strategies, plans, and policies to support the company’s objectives and growth initiatives.
Represent the finance function in meetings with external stakeholders, including investors, auditors, and regulatory authorities.

Tax & Compliance:

Manage all aspects of tax planning, compliance, and reporting, including corporate income tax, sales tax, and payroll tax.
Stay current on tax laws and regulations, assess their impact on the company, and implement necessary changes to ensure compliance.
Coordinate with external tax advisors and auditors to support tax audits and examinations.
Develop and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial regulations.

Financial Planning and Analysis:

Lead the financial planning and forecasting processes, including budgeting, long-range planning, and scenario analysis.
Provide strategic financial guidance to senior management and department heads to support decision-making and drive performance improvement.
Conduct financial analysis, variance analysis, and performance metrics tracking to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
Drive process improvements and efficiency enhancements within the finance function to streamline operations and enhance productivity.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field, plus CPA certified.
5 years of progressive experience in finance leadership roles, with a strong background in financial reporting, tax, and financial planning and analysis.
Thorough understanding of Accounting standards, tax laws, and regulatory requirements.
Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team to achieve results.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and the ability to drive change and innovation.
Proficiency in financial management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
