Job Purpose:
As a Graphic Design Intern at Britam, you’ll play a pivotal role in visually communicating information to diverse audiences, supporting internal communications for employee engagement, culture transformation, and initiatives aligned with the company’s strategic objectives. You’ll contribute to fostering an environment where people can thrive and succeed.
Key Responsibilities:
Take ownership of the creative process, from ideation to distribution, for various employee communication, culture transformation, and HR-led initiatives.
Analyze design briefs to determine project requirements.
Create compelling artwork for social and digital media platforms to support HR projects and employee-related campaigns.
Edit and enhance videos, incorporating closed captioning, graphics, and on-screen text as needed for employee content projects.
Develop strategic creative directions for graphic and visual campaigns related to employee initiatives and culture transformation.
Provide art direction for graphic design, videography, and photoshoot projects aligned with the People agenda.
Design print and digital collateral across various media formats.
Manage multiple projects within design specifications and budget constraints.
Strengthen the employer brand through engaging staff forums and showcasing inspiring employee stories to enhance internal branding and external talent attraction.
Knowledge, experience and qualifications required
Qualifications and Skills:
Pursuing or completed a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in graphic arts, design, communications, or a related field.
Demonstrated proficiency in graphic design with a diverse portfolio showcasing creative projects.
Knowledge of layouts, graphic fundamentals, typography, and design principles for print and web.
Proficiency in industry-standard graphic design and video editing software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro), Sketch, and Dreamweaver.
Versatility in managing print, digital, photography, and video projects.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to think creatively and influence target demographics.
Attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
