The position
The Climate Resilience Intern will be responsible to support day-to-day climate resilience related office and field work operations
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Research and Analysis
Conducting research on climate change impacts, vulnerabilities, and adaptation strategies.
Analyzing data related to NBS effectiveness and feasibility.
Project Support: Assisting in the development, implementation, and monitoring of NBS projects. This could involve tasks such as preparing project proposals, drafting reports, and coordinating project activities.
Fieldwork and Data Collection
Participating in fieldwork activities, such as site assessments, biodiversity surveys, and community consultations.
Conducting field surveys to collect data on ecosystem services, habitat quality, and community perceptions. Carrying out site assessments for Microforest planting, including evaluating soil conditions, biodiversity, and community needs.
Communication and Outreach: Supporting communication and outreach efforts to raise awareness about NBS and climate resilience. This includes success stories and progress reports.
Capacity Building: Participating in capacity-building activities, such as training workshops and knowledge-sharing sessions, to enhance local communities’ understanding of NBS and climate adaptation practices.
Documentation and Reporting: Documenting fieldwork observations, survey findings, and project activities. Compiling data and preparing progress reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Policy Support
Contributing to policy analysis and advocacy efforts related to NBS and climate resilience. Monitoring policy developments and providing inputs for policy briefs or position papers ensuring that the CR team is up to date on trends and insights.
Media Monitoring on CR activities and news
Learning and Professional Development: Actively engaging in learning opportunities to deepen understanding of climate resilience, NBS, and related topics. Seeking mentorship from experienced professionals in the field.
Adaptability and Initiative: Being adaptable and proactive in responding to emerging challenges and opportunities in the climate resilience landscape. Taking initiative to propose innovative ideas and solutions.

A Degree course holder in environmental related course
