While the Regional HR Manager East and Central Africa is to be based in one of our customer centres, mainly Tanzania, Zambia, DRC or Kenya, the role will work close with the Regional General Manager and be a member of the leadership team in the region. In addition, you will work closely with the Vice president Human Resources ensuring an alignment between global and regional initiatives. The ideal candidate must have extensive experience in creating and managing a regional HR strategy, ensuring its successful execution and adjusting accordingly to create competitive advantage.

Your Main Responsibilities
Overall responsible for all regional sites from a people management perspective, including implementation and follow-up of policies and procedures.
Translate global HR strategies to regional and local adaptations, including definition of KPIs
Follow-up and track performance of HR initiatives in the region
Attract and retain the best talent to the region to meet our customer requirements and diversity standards in close collaboration with the RCoE
Set and drive compensation and benefit strategy including driving the regional pay adjustments and yearly performance calibrations.
Proactively coach and support leadership within all aspects of people management, including safeguarding of labour relations and preventing escalation of grievances into legal matters.
Build strong relationships with councils and other legal parties.
Leading the analysis of regional employee feedback and data, with the aim of creating a better working environment and engaged culture.
Champion a performance culture and continuous improvement
Close collaboration with Global HR, HRBPs in region and the Regional Center of Excellence in Sub-Sahara to deliver winning employee experience.
What competences, skills and experience will you need?
Minimum 10 years’ experience in broad HR roles, min. 5 of those years in a regional or comparable HR management role. HR management experience on senior level, knowledge of local HR standards, procedures and legal related topics.
Master’s degree in human resources management or business Administration and Behavioural Science
Fluency in English is a key requirement, mastery in French is highly desirable but not a must.
