As a supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our convenience stores, leading a team to deliver exceptional customer service and achieve operational excellence. Responsibilities:
Team Leadership:
Supervise and coordinate the activities of supermarket staff, including cashiers and retail assistants, to ensure efficient operations and adherence to policies and procedures.
Provide guidance and support to team members, promoting a positive work environment and fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Customer Service Excellence:
Lead by example in delivering outstanding customer service, addressing customer inquiries or concerns promptly and effectively, and ensuring that customer needs are met with professionalism and courtesy.
Monitor customer feedback and satisfaction levels, proactively identifying opportunities for service improvement and implementing corrective measures as needed.
Inventory Management:
Oversee inventory control processes, including receiving, stocking, and rotating merchandise, to maintain optimal inventory levels and minimize out-of-stock situations.
Conduct regular inventory counts, reconcile discrepancies, and coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely stock replenishment.
Operational Efficiency:
Manage daily operations including, opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and scheduling of staff.
Implement and enforce company policies and procedures related to safety, cleanliness, and sanitation standards, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sales, productivity, and customer satisfaction metrics, analyzing trends and identifying areas for improvement.
Prepare and present regular reports to management on operational performance, highlighting achievements, challenges, and recommendations for enhancement.
Qualifications and Requirements:
A certificate or diploma in any business-related field.
Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role within the retail industry, preferably in a supermarket or grocery store setting.
Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team to achieve goals and deliver exceptional customer service.
Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and a proactive approach to addressing issues.
Proficiency in computerized point-of-sale (POS) systems and inventory management software.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
