The ideal candidate for Art Director has demonstrable experience in the Creative and/or Digital Marketing space, and has worked as a team leader with a portfolio to show for his/her best achievements.
Responsibilities
Collaborating with the graphic designers to assess the needs of clients or the company, formulate project strategies, and design visual elements for advertising campaigns
Delegate responsibilities to other designers and provide directions as needed (Traffic Management)
Collaborate with the copywriting department to generate clear and innovative ideas and concepts
Create sketches, storyboards, and roughs to visualise ideas effectively
Conducting research to gain a deeper understanding of brand goals, target audiences, and industry trends
Identifying gaps and filling them through training, capacity building and suggesting better management for the Creative Department
Troubleshooting any design, personnel, or process issues that may arise
Identifying areas for process improvement within the design department.
Qualifications
3 years experience as an AD
Experience in graphic design with a supporting portfolio
Proficiency with graphic design softwares e.g. Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, etc.
Strong Interpersonal, time and project management, presentation, leadership, and communication skills
Ability to lead a team and to delegate responsibilities
