Role
As a full-time Teaching Apprentice, you will assist in planning and delivering data analytics lessons, supporting students in their learning journey, and contributing to the development of the curriculum. This is a hybrid role, based in Nairobi County, Kenya.
The 4-month assignment will offer you a mix of practical training supporting our 3-level Data courses, as well as pedagogical coaching alongside more experienced mentors. You will also get to:
Coach and connect with students and academic advisors on a frequent basis to ensure student success
Design and collaborate on practical assignments and final projects
Engage and offer an increased and fresh presence in the classroom
Provide substantial student feedback and offer a quick turnaround on grades.
We’re welcoming applications from people at the beginning of their data career to receive structured guidance in how to mentor the next generation of data practitioners.
Candidate Profile
We are particularly keen to receive applications from people with experience of graphics, visualization, or user experience. Alternatively, you may have interests in actuarial science, information technology or software technologies.
Ideal candidates will have already gained an initial credential in the fields listed above, show some evidence of interest in Data Science or a related topic, and have experience teaching or mentoring young people. You also will have some experience working with AI as well as common data manipulation tools such as Excel, Tableau, Power BI, Qlik, Orange and RapidMIner.

Ability to create lesson plans and develop curriculum

Knowledge of data analytics and related tools

Passion for digital media and technology

Credential in Data Analytics, Education, or a related field
