Overall role purpose:
Configuring hardware and software, setting up peripherals such as printers, projectors and Apple TVs, repairing equipment, and providing daily support for computer network users. He will be the first point of support for staff and students, as well as keep an updated inventory of all academy ICT equipment and devices.
Key Responsibilities
Will be the first point of call for student and staff support on hardware or network issues.
Work with students and staff to identify and deliver required technical services.
Liaise with, and provide training and support to, students and staff on computer/device operation and other issues.
Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot end-user workstation hardware, networked peripheral devices, and networking hardware products.
Where required, install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot associated end-user workstation software and networking software products.
Perform on-site analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of complex PC problems for students and staff, and recommend and implement corrective hardware solutions, including off-site repair as needed.
Develop and maintain an inventory of all iPads, MacBooks, iMacs, Printers, Scanners, Copiers, Projectors and any other academy-owned devices deployed to staff and students.
Perform basic configuration and maintenance of the academy CISCO enterprise network systems and devices.
Person Specification
Undergraduate degree in Information Technology/ Computer Science or any other related field.
At least 2 years user support working experience in a busy IT environment.
CCNA (switching and routing) Certification
Experience in configuring Cisco network Equipment (Routers, switches).
Experience in Apple devices support is an added advantage.
