Key Responsibilities
Triage patients and prioritize attention accordingly.
Collaborate with clinicians and fellow nurses during any emergency response.
Evacuate referral cases to various destinations.
Administering the prescribed medications/injections.
Conduct all other nursing procedures and maintain sensitivity to patient’s needs.
Document procedures and other patient details as required.
Inspect the facility and maintain high levels of hygiene and safety standards.
Ensure monthly reports are submitted to relevant authorities.
Must be able to follow work regulations in keeping with Kabarak University quality policy.
Foster a supportive and compassionate environment to care for staff and their families.
Any other duty assigned from time to time by the immediate supervisor.
Qualifications and skills
Kenya registered community health nurse with a minimum of a Diploma in Community Health Nursing from a recognized institution.
At least three (3) years’ work experience.
Valid practice license and certificate from the Nursing Council of Kenya (NCK).
Certificate of good conduct.
Must be willing to work extra hours.
Must be able to work under minimal supervision.
Must be a good team player.
Must be able to engage with young adults and successfully win their confidence.
Proficiency in computer applications.
Previous work experience in a learning institution will be an added advantage.
