Job Overview
The Head of Marketing will be responsible for coordinating the marketing efforts and driving the overall marketing strategy while ensuring alignment and consistency across multiple business units. The position is responsible for all marketing activities including but not limited to strategy, execution, and reporting of key results. They are expected to work cross-functionally to implement marketing strategies while also developing strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning: Develop overarching marketing strategies that align with the organisation’s goals and objectives while also considering each business unit’s unique needs and objectives.
Team Leadership: Leading and managing a team of marketing professionals across different business units, providing guidance, direction, and support to ensure that marketing initiatives are executed effectively.
Coordination and Collaboration: Working closely with other department heads, Business Unit leaders, and senior leadership to ensure that marketing efforts are integrated with other functions such as sales, product, and operations.
Brand Management: Overseeing brand positioning, messaging, and identity across all business channels to ensure consistency and alignment with the overall brand strategy.
Marketing Campaigns: Direct the development and execution of marketing campaigns across all business channels to drive brand awareness, customer acquisition, and engagement.
Market Research and Analysis: Conducting market research and analysis to understand customer needs, preferences, and market trends, and using insights to inform marketing strategies and decision-making.
Budgeting: Manage marketing budgets for all business units, allocating resources effectively, and optimizing spending to maximize ROI.
Performance Tracking and Reporting: Monitoring and analyzing the performance of marketing campaigns and initiatives, tracking key metrics and OKRs for all business units, and providing regular reports and insights to senior leadership.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience
A Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, business administration, communications, or a related field. A master’s degree is an added advantage.
5+ years of experience in marketing, with a proven track record of success in developing and implementing strategic marketing initiatives. Prior experience in a leadership or management role is a MUST.
Proven track record of achieving revenue and market share growth.
