Product Development Manager, Digital Channels

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide input and drive the product strategy, vision, and roadmap for the digital mobile channels in line with the bank’s digital strategy and transformational objectives.
Product backlog grooming and value-driven prioritization of new initiatives and enhancements on existing digital channels. 
Drive the development team and vendors in understanding, refining, and executing the digital channel roadmap to deliver value for customers and business.
Support the implementation and rollout of new products and enhancements on the bank digital channels to drive uptake and adoption at scale. 
Identify, document and track implementation of enhancements on the digital channels arising from audits, staff & customer feedback, and compliance, in liaison with internal stakeholders from technology and other departments.
Gain a deep understanding of UI/UX trends, customer needs and pain-points and follow through with implementation to improve customer experience, drive adoption and growth. 
Support the commercial teams – DFS, retail, treasury, corporate banking in developing and rolling out of new and existing over-the-counter products on the digital channels.
Provide training and product awareness to product support teams including customer facing and back-office support teams. 
Working close with the vendors and internal stakeholders, project manage the delivery of new product features and functionality on the digital channels to drive usage and improve customer experience.
Involved in the testing of new/enhanced products, features and functionality on the mobile banking channels prior to implementation to ensure correct implementation.
Champion the bank’s digital transformation journey.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

The successful candidate should have the following:

A Bachelor’s degree preferably in Technology or business-related degree from a recognized university
Professional Certification in Product Management, Project Management, AGILE Practices, UI/UX Design, Design Thinking, Business Analysis 
At least five years experience in leading digital channels and managing teams, including experience in the following:

Product Development & Management in  mobile financial products and services in a high growth environment
Delivery of digital products and services in a high growth environment
Digital Channels, Mobile Apps, USSD, UI/UX
 Project Delivery/ Management
Financial services, Sales & Service
customer journey mapping and user experience testing 
Building relationships, networks & Managing teams
Project Management/Relationship Management. 
Delivery of digital products in  Mobile Money, payments or Lending Platform Support.
