Food Service Sales & Business Development Manager – East & Southern Africa

The role encompasses managing the distributor relationship and sales team effectively to deliver the sales targets set. The responsibility is broad as you will be required to manage multiple key account relationships within the channel to further develop our brands.
This role will report directly to the General Manager – East & Southern Africa and regular exposure to the senior management team, it is therefore critical you can communicate effectively, be confident and own your business performance.

So, what does it take to be successful in this role?

You are an astute commercial manager, with experience in building forecasts with multiple P&L factor considerations.
You are an outstanding leader, managing of all Food Service channels including Horeca, Wholesale and Ecommerce utilizing the Distributor sales team.
You have worked in a similar role for the past 5 + years’ experience in Sales, Category, Marketing and/or related function within a matrixed company, focusing in Food Service channels, and demonstrated relentless result-oriented focus and innovative approach to consistently increasing sales revenues.
You are very proactive in launching of new products into the Food Service channel, working hand in hand with the Distributor sales team and Upfield Marketing to win in the market.
You possess working experience in managing and leading joint business plans with commercial customers, executing sales product strategy and/or sales plans and already enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
You are an excellent communicator with strong verbal and written communication skills, Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, and PowerBI skills.
You are go -getter with a winning mentality, who is willing to visit customers frequently, understands customer needs and solves them.
