Job Purpose:
To perform process and product quality audit and approve a fully assembled vehicle as per the OEM inspection manual.
Key responsibilities:
Carry out product tests and thorough independent final inspection of finished assemblies to defined procedures, formally reporting all defects per OEM manual
Inspect and auditing of all components and all stages of the assembling process and generate non – conformities reports
Participate in any quality issues to identify root cause and raise appropriate corrective action paperwork and ensure issues are addressed and resolved
Ensure compliance and assist with adherence to the Quality Management system (TS16949/ISO9001) through process and system audits
Contribute to continuous improvement activities through suggesting and implementing suggestions and ideas to improve quality
Comply with internal and external SHE rules, including the proper use of safety equipment, as they apply to the job
Collecting and compiling statistical quality data
Training the production team on quality control measures to improve product excellence
Inspects and reports every non-conformity to respective team leaders and supervisor for prompt resolution
Approves finished products by confirming specifications, conducting visual checks and fasteners tightness
Read blueprints and instructions to comprehend the quality expectations for the product and process and apply the same in product audit as per OEM requirements
Approve or reject raw materials with respect to quality standards and record supplier performance.
Select output samples and check them using appropriate methods (measuring dimensions, testing functionality, comparing to specifications etc.)
With the guide of Quality Engineer Use automated systems to perform complex testing procedures
Maintain records of testing, information and various metrics such as number of defective products per day etc.
Inspect procedures of the entire production cycle to ensure they are efficient and comply with safety standards
Monitor the use of equipment to ensure it is safe and well-maintained and discard any that doesn’t meet requirements
Prepare and submit reports to the quality manager
Inspects and certifies all functional and dynamic parameters are working correctly
Conduct Wheel alignment and confirm the correct specifications as per the OEM requirements
Conduct brake test and ensures it is within the defined OEM specifications range
Conduct road test as per OEM requirements and be able to identify every non-conformity associated to vehicle mobility
Any other role as assigned by superior
Required qualifications and experience:
Degree in engineering- preferably Automotive, Production or manufacturing engineering
Certification of quality control is a strong advantage (ISO 9000 etc.)
2 years working experience in Quality Control
