Basic job summary:
The Job holder is responsible for facilitating the strength and conditioning training of student-athletes, assisting with the development of exercise routines and nutritional intake, exercise supervision, as well as tracking the athletes’ progress and adjusting exercise plans accordingly
Duties & Responsibilities:
Conduct fitness assessments to evaluate strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement.
Develop and implement customized strength and conditioning programs based on individual or team goals.
Instruct proper exercise techniques and ensure the safe and effective execution of training routines.
Monitor and track student progress, making adjustments to training programs as needed.
Collaborate with athletes, coaches, and other professionals to integrate strength and conditioning principles into overall training strategies.
Provide education on nutrition, hydration, and recovery strategies to enhance overall athletic performance.
Stay informed about current trends, research, and advancements in strength and conditioning to continually improve training methodologies.
Assist in injury prevention through targeted exercises and appropriate modifications to training plans.
Maintain accurate records of student assessments, progress, and program details.
Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
Minimum Academic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, or a related field.
Registration and Membership of a professional body
Experience working with elite squads
Ability to work with young people
Experience:
A minimum of two (2) Years working experience in the same position
