Instrumental Engineer

Our client, a prominent company specializing in cement manufacturing in Tripoli, Libya, is actively seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable professional to join their exceptional team.
THE JOB
As an Instrumentation Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining, calibrating, and troubleshooting various instruments and control systems in our cement production plant. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations, optimizing plant performance, and maintaining a safe working environment.
MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES.

Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of various instruments such as pressure, temperature, flow, and level indicators to ensure accurate readings and optimal plant performance.
Implement preventive maintenance programs for instruments and control systems to minimize downtime and maximize reliability.
Collaborate with the production team to identify and rectify instrument-related issues that may affect the production process.
Maintain an accurate record of instrument maintenance activities, calibration reports, and electrical drawings.
Develop and implement necessary changes or upgrades to control systems to enhance efficiency, productivity, and safety.
Participate in shutdowns and plant turnarounds for instrumentation repairs, upgrades, or modifications.
Keep abreast of industry trends and advancements in instrumentation technologies to propose relevant improvements or upgrades for the plant’s control system.
Collaborate with other departments, such as the electrical and mechanical teams, to address cross-functional instrumentation needs.
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, standards, and company policies during the execution of instrumentation maintenance tasks.
Provide technical support and guidance to the maintenance team regarding instrument-related issues.

QUALIFICATIONS
The job holder should have the following qualifications.

Bachelor’s degree in electrical or Instrumentation Engineering or a related field.
Minimum of 11 years of experience working as an Instrumental Engineer, preferably in the cement manufacturing industry or a similar heavy manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of instrumentation and control systems, including process instrumentation, PLCs, DCS, SCADA systems, and calibration techniques.
Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing a variety of instruments and control systems.
Familiarity with relevant international standards and regulations related to instrumentation and control systems in the manufacturing industry.

We are offering the following for the successful candidate:

A competitive gross salary of 1000 – 2500 USD Per Month.
Overtime of 2.5 USD per hour.
Food and local allowance of 300-400 LYD (Libyan dinar).
Free accommodation and transport.
