Intern in Sourcing

Your Role
As a product sourcing intern, you will ensure timely, correct ordering and delivery of parts and products as per the engineering team schedule.
What You Will Do

Manage accurate ordering of parts and products for the engineering team
Receive and prepare purchase requests
Source for new parts that will be required for testing, this will include making sure they meet the specifications outlined by the engineers
Obtain quotes from different suppliers
Assess quotes and compile a detailed assessment of cost breakdowns leading to supplier selection
Monitor purchase orders in progress and inform requestor about any logistic problems or updates or supplier concerns
Liaise with suppliers to push through any outstanding orders
Liaise with finance team to ensure all required payments are done timely and correctly
Ensure that all relevant procedures, SOPs and routines are followed and adhered to in line with the company policy, procedures and requirements
Ensure adherence to respective Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures
Look to make efficiencies in the sourcing process
Manage Bill of Materials on Odoo
Any other tasks as required by your supervisor

What You Will Bring

Diploma in Supply Chain, Procurement, Logistics or related field
Engineering technical knowledge would be an advantage
Work or internship experience in a busy distribution setup 
Basic stock taking procedure and knowledge
Good computer skills. ERP (odoo) working knowledge will be an advantage
Fluency in written and spoken English with excellent organizational skills
