Consultancy objectives:
Reporting to the Head of programs, the main purpose of this consultancy is to support in coordinating the Power up project ongoing activities.
Key responsibilities:
Conduct a disability-inclusive and gender-sensitive value chain assessment
Supporting the ongoing Baseline survey through mobilizing participants with disabilities and women in Waste management to participate during the mixed group FGDS and Key informant interviews.
In consultation with gender expert and Disability Inclusion unit, the consultant will develop gender and disability assessment protocol.
Conduct FGDS for person with disabilities and women to inform the gender and disability assessment.
Compile and submit the findings to Bop Inc and LFTW gender expert.
Project Coordination
Attend the weekly checking meeting with Bopinc and WEEE center.
Archive the meeting rolling notes on the Power Up project channel.
Follow up and take up checking meeting LFTW action points to ensure their implementation.
Monitoring, Evaluation and Reporting
Ensure the programme activities are implemented as per timeline and track the progress through updating programme monitoring tool.
Develop and submit project monthly report to Bopinc.
Timeline
This consultancy will take 3 months.
Required Skills and Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in business or a related field.
Profound understanding of the SME sector in Kenya.
Minimum of 3 years of pertinent work experience within SMEs.
Demonstrated engagement with small & micro enterprises, particularly those involving individuals with disabilities.
Proficiency in project planning, management, and execution.
Proven track record in establishing business connections.
Comprehensive knowledge and practical application of economic models.
Expertise in negotiation and adept management of partner relationships.
Fluent in both English and Swahili, with strong verbal and written communication skills in both languages.
Ability to lead and facilitate meetings effectively.
Proficiency in utilizing social media platforms.
Sensitivity and adaptability to working within diverse, cross-cultural environments.
Previous experience as a trainer or learning facilitator would be advantageous.
