DEPARTMENT: Planning – IDIQ (SEHP)
POSITION REPORT TO: Superintendent,
HVAC OVERVIEW:

Responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC/Refrigeration equipment and components including split, window, package, and whole facility units, chillers, and freezers installed in various types of facilities for warm base operations IAW the PWS.

DESCRIPTION OF JOB TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provides leadership to cause the creation of processes required to fully execute the requirements of services and is responsible for the execution of HVAC mechanical services, quality, and cost.
Directs the activities of the HVAC crew.
Installs, services, and repairs environmental control and other commercial establishments, utilizing knowledge of refrigeration theory, pipefitting, and structural layout.
Mounts compressor and condenser units on the platform or floor use hand tools and follow blueprints or engineering specifications.
Fabricates, assembles, and installs ductwork and chassis parts using portable metalworking tools and welding equipment.
Connects motors, compressors, temperature controls, humidity controls, and circulating ventilation fans to control panels and connects control panels to the power source.
Ensures work is done IAW approved plans and specs.
Ensures compliance with appropriate policies, regulations, directives, and applicable technical publications
Ensures that all A/C installation and repair are performed satisfactorily and completed in the required time.
Performs maintenance on portable HVAC units to ensure safe, reliable, and uninterrupted service IAW manufacturers’ recommended procedures and OEM standards.
Performs maintenance and testing, adjusting, and balancing on HVAC systems to ensure proper operation, minimize breakdowns, maximize useful life, improve occupant comfort levels, and decrease energy consumption.
Cleans HVAC ducts to ensure they are clean and function properly.
Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner to get along with customers, co-workers, and supervisors.
Moves materials and equipment to work locations and sets up work site.
Completes records, maintains tools and equipment, and performs various clean-up and housekeeping activities.
Responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, sanitary, healthy, presentable, and professional atmosphere, free of dust, clutter, and trash in all working facilities and areas.
Responsible for proper utilization and safeguarding of all government and contractor-provided property (e.g., including government facilities, equipment, and tools).
Responsible for the precise execution of company time reporting procedures and accurate completion of the timesheets.
Responsible to perform all assigned duties as safely and efficiently as possible to maintain a safe work environment.
Observes and follow all safety rules and procedures, including wearing required personal protective equipment.

BASIC JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

 (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
Must possess the technical skill to identify repair requirements as it pertains to HVAC equipment. • Must have expert knowledge of equipment manuals for servicing, operations, and repair of HVAC systems.
Able to read and interpret drawings/schematics/blueprints, and manuals to accomplish assigned duties.
Must be able to perform physical activities such as, but not limited to, bending, standing, climbing, or walking.
Must speak, read, and understand the English Language.
Must pass overseas medical screening and be in good health.
Must have a valid country of origin’s driver’s license.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS: SPECIAL CERTIFICATIONS OR TRAINING:

EPA – US Environmental Protection Agency Section 608 certified of any type (Type I, II, or III).
EPA – US Environmental Protection Agency Section 608 “Universal” Certification.
EDUCATION:
Must be at least a High School, Vocational, or Technical course graduate. EXPERIENCE: • Must have at least five (5) years of experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC units as a Foreman, Leadman, or Supervisory capacity of various construction projects is required.

Basic terms of the job offer.

Assignment Duration: 12 months. Renewal subject to performance and project status.
Base Monthly Salary: 48 hours per week minimum work requirement: $550.00 (based on 48 hr. work week requirement)
Working schedule: 48 hours per week (8 hours per day/6 days a week)
Payroll period: Monthly. Amount give take home.
Overtime: Work more than 8 hours per day or work performed on a rest day and/or holiday, will be paid as overtime at the base salary rate.

Accommodations: Housing, transportation, meals in-country, and laundry facilities are provided
Sick Leave: Employee will accrue 2.67 hours of sick leave for each full month of service, beginning with the completion of the first full month of Foreign Service employment.
Annual leave Up to 21 days paid at the end of each 12-month contract.
Travel will be provided by the employer to the employee’s home country.
Project Holidays: 10 paid holidays. New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Jr.’s Birthday, President’s Day, Philippine Independence Day, USA Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veteran’s Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day

Your driver’s license must be valid for at least 6 months (unless processing for a CDL-required position, which will require 12 months remaining).
