Kenya Accountant

With us, you will be responsible for:

Timely posting of stores/ shops sales
Preparing sales reconciliation for the shops/ stores against the mode of payments
Preparing bank reconciliations on a weekly basis
Monitoring correctness of M-Pesa commissions and Cards commissions charged by banks and mobile money companies
Preparing stores/ shops cash reconciliations on a monthly basis
Ensuring all petty cash requests are paid on time
Supporting with end month close processes
Supporting with preparation of cashflow forecasts and preparing variances report
Supporting to prepare and submit official declarations (to tax authority, social security institution etc.) in a timely manner
Support with preparing audit schedules for tax audits, statutory audits and internal audits.
Ensuring timely archiving of accounting and financial documents
Support Exportation & Importation process
Participate in budgeting and future projections

Required Qualifications:
Education & Language Skills

University degree in Accounting or equivalent
Certified Public Accountant -CPA (K)
Fluent English (written & verbal)

Professional Expertise

Sound knowledge in local Tax laws and regulations
Strong accounting background with accrual accounting mentality
Experience in local bookkeeping
Sound IFRS financial reporting knowledge
Minimum 4 years of experience in similar positions; retail experience is an asset
Result oriented and have a positive attitude
Excellent communication skills
High sense of responsibility
Ability to work in a multinational/multicultural environment.
