Job Summary:
The manager for external M&E work in Kenya will lead all our evaluation work run from our Kenya office, leading business development, proposal development, evaluation design, and working hands on to run evaluations.
This role requires a self-sufficient and energetic person who is able to design and lead the execution of monitoring and evaluation programmes for external clients to a high level of quality, from development of the theory of change through to final reporting.
Requires strong business development, including partnership development, skills

Key Responsibilities:
Write proposals for evaluation and TPM work
Lead evaluations including liaising with stakeholders, managing projects , analysis and reporting.
Ensure high level of customer satisfaction amongst our clients
Demonstrated expertise developing winning proposals evaluation work in the development sector.
Must have excellent and high quality English language to global proposal and report writing standards.
Ideally based in Kenya and a Kenyan citizen but qualified candidates based elsewhere will also be considered.
Experience working in the African region.
Key Experience:
Experience leading external evaluations – i.e. leading evaluations of third-party projects and programs is critical.
Experience working for a private sector development consulting firm.
Expertise in a wide range of evaluation approaches and methodologies, but must include understanding of complex evaluations involving RCTs and quasi-experimental designs, and quantitative design, data analysis and report writing relating to those.
Strong technical expertise in quantitative survey design, analysis and reporting.
Demonstrated expertise developing winning proposals evaluation work in the development sector.
Experience working in the African region.
Must have excellent and high quality English language to global proposal and report writing standards.
Ideally based in Kenya and a Kenyan citizen but qualified candidates based elsewhere will also be considered.
