Head of Product Management

Job Purpose

You will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our products and driving our global product strategy. The purpose of this role is to take the lead in developing and implementing Jacaranda Health’s product strategy and roadmap, identifying opportunities to innovate and drive value for our customers and our teams through product design, and develop the tools and processes necessary to run an effective product department. . This will include working with program teams to identify product gaps and challenges, design solutions by gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with the technology team, to deliver winning products.

Main Responsibilities of the Job

Take lead in defining the Product strategy that fits with organizational needs. Work closely with the Technology team and Program teams to execute on the product strategy.
Develop and prioritize the product roadmap, taking into account market trends, end user and partner feedback, and organizational goals.
Lead the entire product lifecycle, from research and requirements to working with designers and developers, to user testing, to measuring impact and optimizing
Collaborate closely with our Programs, Partnerships, Business Development and Technology teams to transform ideas into clear, functional product features and  ensure projects are managed efficiently and features are built to spec
Work closely with our program teams and learn from our customers in the field to develop products and/or product features that dramatically increases our operational efficiency and positions the business for radical scale
Ensure that we are solving the right problems by sourcing input from multiple channels and prioritizing effectively to drive maximum impact
Create an environment that fosters high quality, metrics-driven experimentation and set high standards for how we measure product success
Bring and build deep domain knowledge and experience; people across the company will look to you as an expert; and you leverage it through teaching, guiding and coaching others
Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of Product Managers and Coordinators, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Develop the tools, processes and systems to manage a rapidly growing Product function.

Qualification, Knowledge & Skills

Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in any field
Masters degree / MBA is an added advantage
7+ years of experience in Product Management, ideally in digital health
3+ years managing teams
Experience developing and managing systems and processes for a Product Function
Strong understanding of digital health products and data privacy and compliance requirements
Product development experience: AB testing of products, ability to interpret qualitative and quantitative findings and translate them into design changes
Experience with Human Centered Design/ User Experience (UX) work
Ability to perform complex analysis and deliver useful data insights that influence design changes. Comfortable working with data in all forms.
Rapidly assimilate new information and turn it into clear strategic judgements with sound logical reasoning
Understand the implications of today’s design decisions for future scale and intuitively “see the forest for the trees”
Proven ability to deliver business results by developing, prioritizing and delivering on a roadmap that addresses customer needs and pain points via innovative products
Strong project management skills: demonstrated experience delivering products and product developments with evidence of impact
Considerate listener who takes the time to deeply understand customers, teammates, and partners
Have demonstrated success in a fast-paced environment. Excited to overcome challenges and change the world for the better at massive scale
Comfortable with ambiguity, have a passion for building product, a desire to make things better, and a sense of optimism
Logical thinker & comfort with analysis: This is someone who is a structured thinker and is able to use quantitative analysis to drive insights and inform recommendations. This may also includes budget and analysis, monitoring and evaluation experience
Change management: This is someone who can lead and/or support transitions within an organization by balancing key stakeholders, managing business changes, monitoring the outcome of changes etc.
Have a growth mindset; a willingness to own problems
Ability to effectively interacting with senior management, influencing without authority and an ability to work strategically and collaboratively across departments
