Sales and Marketing Specialist

Job purpose
The Sales and Marketing Specialist will drive the growth and success of The Boon Tree by identifying, cultivating, and securing partnerships with wellness service providers. This role involves developing and implementing effective sales and marketing strategies to expand the platform’s vendor community. The Specialist aims to elevate brand visibility, attract quality service providers, and foster lasting relationships, contributing to the overall mission of transforming the African wellness market. Success in this role directly impacts the platform’s reach, reputation, and revenue, shaping a healthier and more vibrant wellness ecosystem.
Responsibilities:

Vendor Acquisition Strategy:

Develop a comprehensive vendor acquisition strategy to identify and target potential wellness service providers.
Research and analyze the wellness market in Africa to identify trends, opportunities, and potential partners.
Utilize data-driven insights to create targeted outreach plans.

Lead Generation:

Implement lead generation strategies to attract potential vendors to The Boon Tree platform.
Identify and engage with potential vendors through various channels, including online platforms, industry events, and networking.

Relationship Building:

Build and nurture relationships with potential vendors through effective communication, understanding their needs, and showcasing the benefits of joining The Boon Tree community.
Conduct introductory meetings and presentations to educate potential vendors on the platform’s features, advantages, and the value it brings to their business.

Sales Presentations:

Develop compelling sales presentations and materials that highlight the unique selling points of The Boon Tree.
Clearly articulate the benefits of partnering with The Boon Tree to potential vendors, addressing their pain points and offering solutions.

Negotiation and Closing:

Lead negotiation efforts to establish mutually beneficial partnerships with vendors.
Effectively communicate pricing, packages, and terms to secure new vendors on The Boon Tree platform.
Drive the contract negotiation and closing process.

Collaboration with Marketing:

Work closely with the marketing team to align sales efforts with overall marketing strategies.
Provide insights into market trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities to inform marketing campaigns.

Sales Performance Analysis:

Regularly analyze sales performance metrics and provide insights for continuous improvement.
Utilize CRM tools to track and manage leads, opportunities, and successful vendor acquisitions.

Industry Knowledge and Trends:

Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and changes in the wellness market.
Attend relevant industry events and conferences to expand knowledge and network with potential vendors.

Skills, Abilities and Personal Qualities

Proven experience in sales and marketing,
Strong negotiation and closing skills.
Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
Strong time management and organizational skills
Proactive problem-solver, finding creative solutions for customers
Data-driven and results-oriented mindset.
Familiarity with CRM tools.
Proficient in MS Office 365 applications
Passion for wellness and/or a keen understanding of market dynamics.
