Job Description
The R2R CM Accountant is responsible for completeness, accuracy and timeliness of operations related to intercompany accounts, treasury transactions and related reconciliations.
She/he, in collaboration with the finance team, is responsible for providing business unit general accounting and internal control support, including preparation and posting of specific journal entries, maintenance of ordinary bookkeeping, completion of the month end process and ensuring the data quality of trial balance and related accounts.
Moreover, he/she takes part in accounts’ analysis and supports senior colleagues in carrying out responsibilities of the accounting department, contacts internal client in order to resolve accounting queries, cooperates with auditors.
He/she follows Desktop Procedures and adequate policies and guidelines in place and seeks for improvements.
Performance should meet the requirements defined in the SLA/KPI’s applicable for the role.
Qualifications
Relevant Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance with at least 4+ years’ experience
Professional certificate from any of the recognized accounting bodies (CPA, ACCA etc)
Experience in treasury and intercompany department in a large organization
General knowledge of accounting rules
Familiarity with excel – intermediate level Strong leadership / managing skills; experience in team leadership a plus.

Additional Information
Perform bank reconciliations and ensure that all reconciling items are properly explained and actioned.
Ensure all monthly checklists are performed and adhered to including month end closing and internal control procedures.
Grant proper follow up on all open items in the cash management report with various stakeholders in the HUB and in-country.
Matching of bank statement receipts and payments to the cashbook lines.
Daily loading of bank statements to oracle using the APRO application and perform manual loading of statements where necessary.
Perform regular gap analysis between the bank statements and the ERP system including requesting for bank statements to seal the gaps.
Ensure that all updated ad hoc reports (CM) are shared within stipulated timelines with relevant stakeholders.
Ensure that all control accounts balances related to Bank including cash clearing, cash in transit, Remitted Receipts and Cross currency are accounted for.
Ensure that all bank charges and bank interests are posted and tally to the Trial balances.
Attending to all cash management related queries and correspondences.
Managing bank statements and related reconciliations for allocated affiliates.
Provide support including documentation on issues related to external and internal audit processes.
Following internal rules, policies procedures and instructions.
Any other duties and responsibilities assigned to by the Finance Operations Manager from time to time.
Ensure that work carried meets the requirements of the Group Integrity and Confidentiality standards and procedures.
