Project manager/Site Supervisor

JOB SUMMARY – PURPOSE
To ensure that the Quality of works at the site is met  ensuring employees safety is met.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Organizing tools, plant, machinery and materials.
Organising workers.
Supervising construction activities.
Identifying materials and equipment that may be required on site.
Ensuring construction is carried out accurately, following plans and specifications.
Ensuring that contractor activities are properly co-ordinated.
Ensuring that tasks are completed on time and to the required quality standards.
Taking responsibility for health and safety on site.
Maintaining detailed and accurate site reports.
Communicating project progress to key stakeholders, such as the management client, architects, engineers when needed.
Any other duty assigned to you by your supervisor from time to time.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Level of Education/Academic Qualification

Diploma/Degree in Construction Management

Specialized Training/Professional Qualifications

Diploma in  Construction management

Competencies/Abilities/Skills Required                                          

Must be proficient in the use of computer to prepare reports using Microsoft Office programs such as Word and Excel and Ms. Project
Excellent working knowledge of construction scheduling and outage planning.
Must be able to read and understand construction drawings and specifications.
Must be able to easily move around active construction site safely and effectively.
Must have highly-effective written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent team leader/player with exceptional interpersonal skills to deliver results
Must have proven problem-solving skills.
Supervisory skills

Relevant Work Experience

At least three (2) years relevant experience in a reputable construction organization

AUTHORITY/DECISION MAKING
The position makes recommendations to the supervisor on improvement of the project. And makes decisions on the management of a project based on SARL policies.
SPECIAL WORKING CONDITIONS
The jobholder may be required to work long and odd hours, sometimes working over the weekends and public holidays mostly outside the office inspecting works on site.
