Sheet Metal Worker

DESCRIPTION OF JOB TASK AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Plans work activities based upon instructions received from the Sheet Metal Foreman.
Fabricates installs and maintains in good repair the sheet-metal equipment and fixtures (such as machine guards, shelves, lockers, tanks, ventilators, chutes, ducts, and metal roofing) of a building.
Use a variety of hand tools in cutting, bending, forming, shaping, fitting, and assembling, and installing sheet-metal articles as required.
Plan and lay out all types of sheet-metal maintenance work from blueprints, models, or other specifications.
Set up and operate all available types of sheet-metal working machines.

Provide information relative to progress and completion of work orders.
Participate in and assists in the preparation of maintenance reports and statistical performance data, when required.
Coordinate with Shop Supply and Material Expediting personnel to ensure adequate repair parts and supplies are available to support maintenance requirements.
Helps coordinate the movement of materials and equipment to work locations and sets up work sites.
Maintains records, tools, and equipment, and performs various clean-up and housekeeping activities.
Observes and follow all safety rules and procedures, including trench safety and wearing required personal protective equipment.
Performs other duties and activities as directed.

 BASIC JOB QUALIFICATIONS: (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

Must be able to operate all basic sheet metal-related shop equipment and precision measurement tools.

Must be able to read, interpret blueprints and design and follow engineering drawings, specifications, and instructions.
Must be able to perform physical activities such as, but not limited to moderate lifting, bending, standing, climbing, or walking.
Must speak, read, and understand the English Language.
Must pass overseas medical screening and be in good health.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS: SPECIAL CERTIFICATIONS OR TRAINING

Completed TESDA course in Sheet Metal Training is a plus or
NITA Artisan Sheet Metal certification is a plus or
NSQF-approved training for Sheet Metal Worker trade under ATS: Level 6 is a plus.

EDUCATION:

Must have at least a High School diploma, Technical or Vocational Course Graduate is required.

EXPERIENCE:

Must have at least three (3) years of experience in various types of sheet-metal work, metal fabrication, and Installation

Basic terms of the job offer.

Assignment Duration: 12 months. Renewal subject to performance and project status.
Base Monthly Salary: 48 hours per week minimum work requirement: $500.40 (based on 48 hr. work week requirement)
Working schedule: 48 hours per week (8 hours per day/6 days a week)
Payroll period: Monthly. Amount give take home.
Overtime: Work more than 8 hours per day or work performed on a rest day and/or holiday, will be paid as overtime at the base salary rate.
Accommodations: Housing, transportation, meals in-country, and laundry facilities are provided
Sick Leave: Employee will accrue 2.67 hours of sick leave for each full month of service, beginning with the completion of the first full month of Foreign Service employment.
Annual leave Up to 21 days paid at the end of each 12-month contract.
Travel will be provided by the employer to the employee’s home country.
