Lead focal point for social protection in country office programmes
Build capacities of country team and partners in social protection, including contextualisation within Community Support Services and Systems (CSS)
Support and advise in building linkages between programmes and existing (formal and informal) social protection schemes and systems.
Advise and engage with stakeholders including government on making social protection schemes inclusive of persons with disabilities and engage in respective country-level technical conversations with LCDF donors.
Provide programmatic and technical leadership on inclusive social protection in the development and implementation of the CBM project portfolio, aligned with the organizational strategy and with a focus on CSS.
In liaison with Country Office programme team, guide and coordinate joint project and/or multi-year planning processes with partners, CBM Initiatives/technical teams and fundraising departments, ensuring the quality and sustainability of results in line with CBM and donor requirements.
Ensure high quality of project and programme plans in compliance with human rights standards.
Support the country office in maintaining strong collaborations and diversifying partnerships, alliances, and relationships with a focus on social protection.
Support programme team to conduct initial and regularly updated organizational capacity assessments and/or partnership reviews, jointly develop plans to address capacity gaps, identify solutions, monitor implementation, and document learning.
Manage engagement with national alliances, partners and Organizations for Persons with Disabilities to define and support national advocacy priorities in line with CBM’s overall advocacy plan.
Work with partners to gather and share frequent and updated quality project information and content to support CBM’s internal and external communication enabling fundraising departments to demonstrate the impact of CSS in their donor communication with success stories from the field.
Engagement with best national social protection practices for learning and experience sharing.
These are your qualifications
Degree in social sciences, international development, or related field.
Professional experience of eight (8) years in national or international NGOs, with a track record in successfully designing and managing large development programmes with a focus on social protection, in collaboration with national partners.
Experience in developing and managing large scale social protection schemes.
Proven experience in results-based management and project cycle management, including assessment, monitoring and evaluation, with a sound understanding of log frames and budgets. Project finance experience advantageous.
Demonstrated experience in managing internal and external relationships, particularly with government and other relevant stakeholders in the field of social protection.
Experience of developing rights-based programmes and working with marginalised and vulnerable groups.
Excellent interpersonal and intercultural skills and teamwork.

English/Kiswahili (Professional Proficiency)

Proficient in MS Office
