Finance Adviser Sudan (Internal Only)

Your specific responsibilities 

Work with managers on the development of budget proposals.
Established, in collaboration with the Finance Manager or Financial Controller, reports to donors
Maintain budgetary control, prepare budget Vs Actual reports and conduct meetings
Allocation of shared costs – Salaries, rent, vehicle rent etc.
Provides financial support and training in area offices
Assist in preparation and update Master Budget 
Prepare financial analysis to management on costs – Master Budget Coverage etc.
Ensure the archiving of documents from the finance department, both electronic and physical

What you will bring: 

Experience from working as a Finance Coordinator or Advisor in a humanitarian/recovery context or a similar role
Previous experience from working in complex and volatile contexts
Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities
Advance MS Excel Skills 
Fluency in English and Arabic, both written and verbal

What we expect you to have:

University degree in finance and/or business management
Strong financial and analytical skills
Experience in preparing budgets and budget monitoring reports
Sound knowledge of accounting principle and standards 
Experience with ECHO, SIDA, NMFA, UNHCR, EU and other donors budgeting and reporting
Experience from large/complex or multi-applicant projects with stringent donor rules is very advantageous
Understanding and experience using Agresso/Unit4 or other ERPs/accounting software is an advantage
Experience with start-up, exit or similar
