What you will be doing
As the Head of Commercial Sales you will play a pivotal role in driving our revenue growth and market presence. You will be responsible for leading a high-performance commercial team, expanding our network, building strong relationships with stakeholders, and driving sales across diverse regions.
In this role, you’ll;
Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to drive new and recurring revenues through partnerships with agro-input companies and the public sector.
Management of Global commercial team and spearheading revenue growth.
Establish and nurture relationships with stakeholders, including government officials, financial institutions, and development agencies.
Act as the company spokesperson, effectively communicating our value propositions through presentations and proposals.
Identify and develop unique selling propositions and differentiators based on market knowledge and competitor analysis.
Recruit and manage the commercial team, providing guidance, coaching, and mentorship.
Collaborate closely with the operations team to ensure smooth customer handover and solution implementation.
Utilize data and KPIs to make informed management decisions and track progress.
What you need to be successful
10+ years of proven B2B/B2G sales experience, including successful interactions with development agencies, governments, and financial institutions.
Strong track record of achieving sales quotas and driving revenue growth.
5+ years of experience managing and growing a high performance sales team
Proficiency in navigating government structures and dealing with officials at all levels.
Data proficient with the ability to define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, especially when engaging with C-suite executives.
Comfortable with using sales CRM platforms and Google Drive applications.
Multi-country and multi-geo career experience is strongly preferred
Demonstrated passion about the transformative impact of agricultural insurance on smallholder farmers.
Resilient, tenacious, and capable of navigating complex deal scenarios
Continuously learning and adaptable, with a hunger for growth and achievement.
