Project Officer – Waste to Work/Kilimanjaro Initiative Project

Role overview

Facilitate and support day-today implementation of Waste to Work project and the Kilimanjaro Initiative activities in Nairobi County.

Ideal Applicant Summary
Knowledge/qualifications:

A diploma or relevant degree preferably in social sciences, environmental studies, business, or a related field from a recognized university.
Knowledge on youth employment and empowerment programmes
Possess a knowledge of environmental matters, waste and resources policy, and a broad view of the industry at large.

Experience, Skills/Abilities:

At least 3 years’ experience working in youth employment and entrepreneurship programmes in an NGO or community-based organisations in informal settlements in Nairobi.
Proven ability of communicating at various levels within and between organisations depending on audience and content of the message.
Demonstrated project management skills.
Experience in M&E
Volunteer Management
Good facilitation and coaching skills
