Sales & Marketing Manager Job Overview

The Sales & Marketing Officer will lead all marketing initiatives relating to The Terrace Kitchen’s food, beverage and events business. This experienced individual will develop TTK’s comprehensive marketing strategies, campaigns, and initiatives to drive foot traffic, generate revenue, increase on-site conversion, and ensure repeat business. Additionally, the individual in this role will create, develop, and execute marketing campaigns spanning the entire acquisition and retention funnel to reach locals, tourists, and convention/conference attendees. Critical to this role is creativity, innovation, being a self-starter who is driven by commission-based work, and having a deep knowledge of the food and beverage industry in the coastal region of Kenya.

Duties & Responsibilities

Research, develop and execute strategic ongoing marketing initiatives and programs to target locals, tourists, and convention businesses to promote TTK as a must-visit stop in Kilifi
Responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies for the  restaurant and its associated branded events, including digital marketing planning, execution of brand campaigns, and deployment of strategies and tactics across social media, digital and creative design functions. 
identify market trends, and suggest system improvements to help achieve the company’s sales & marketing goals.
Create, manage, and implement all-encompassing PR and marketing plans and programs, both short and long term, to increase revenue, generate foot traffic and build awareness. 
Plan and implement promotional campaigns to build awareness and drive visits.
Build CRM and email database campaigns to increase visits, build a loyalty programme and ensure repeat business. 
Maintain relationships with important clients by making regular visits, understanding their needs, and anticipating new marketing opportunities.
To align the event, operations, activations, and retail programming with sales goals. 
Analyze budgets, prepare annual budget plans, schedule expenditures, and ensure that the sales quotas and goals are met.
Create marketing partnerships and promotions with suppliers, local companies and complementary brands that drive revenue and access new customers.
Manage and monitor all digital marketing campaigns, paid social, email, and traditional OOH media campaigns to leverage maximum ROI. 
Develop on-site marketing and communications programs to maximize in-house conversion. 
Build a strong and engaged influencer program to build brand awareness and create user generated content. 
Manage digital and email marketing, SEO, search, content creation, and creative campaigns. 
Oversee all reputation and citation management on Google, Yelp, and other digital platforms. 
Manage all social media strategies to grow organic and paid social media channels. 
Plan and execute content strategy for all digital channels. 
Proactively keep abreast of current trends and events in marketing, social technologies, new media, and relevant industries. 
Measure performance of all marketing programs and communicate results to management. 

Job Requirements & Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree in marketing, sales, business administration, or related field.
3-5 years experience in marketing or sales, with a strong understanding & knowledge of sales and marketing in the food & beverage industry.
The ideal candidate will be well-versed in all aspects of traditional and digital marketing tactics in the food and beverage industry.
Strong project management skills, including the ability to multi-task and translate creative ideas into action with a clear ROI..
Strong analytical, organizational, and creative thinking skills.
Exceptional written and oral communication skills, including the ability to write a marketing plan that communicates high-level strategy and actionable tactics.
Knowledge of data analysis and report writing.
The ability to understand and follow company policies and procedures.
The ability to work under pressure.
