About The Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic marketing and outreach intern to join our talent marketing department and provide support and an infusion of creativity. You will have administrative duties in developing and implementing marketing strategies.
You will also will collaborate with the team in all stages of marketing campaigns and your insightful contribution will help develop, expand and maintain our marketing channels
You are passionate about Andela’s mission and technology and are able to remain flexible and wear many hats to help meet growing and changing needs of a start up.
This position is full-time based at Andela’s office in Nairobi, Kenya.
Key Responsibilities Of The Role

Social Media Management (40%)

Respond to enquiries and increase engagement on social media platforms (Facebook & Twitter)
Assist in implementing and executing social media marketing campaigns (Facebook & Twitter)
Collecting quantitative and qualitative data from marketing campaigns

Program Management (ASAP) (20%)

Tracking and monitor Andela Student Ambassador Program requests to the talent team
Keep accurate records of events, mailing lists and financial reports of the program

Outreach & Media Monitoring (20%)

Monitoring and tracking events in the tech ecosystem keeping in mind how Andela can contribute/get involved
Tracking published posts by Andelans so as to leverage them on external platforms
Coordinating and attending events that would drive the awareness of Andela’s programs

General Marketing Administration (20%)

Provide day-to-day support to the talent marketing team with documentation, reporting and other administrative tasks

Qualifications And Characteristics

Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Marketing, Business or related field.
Extremely well-organized & proactive, with strong attention to details
Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with remote staff.
Ability to build effective working relationships with key stakeholders
Strong written and oral communications skills with the ability to converse with all levels of the organization
Have excellent interpersonal skills.
Strong logistical management and analytics skills
Proficiency with Google Apps: Calendar, Hangouts, Docs, Sheets
