The Registrar, Administration, Planning & Strategy shall, under the general direction of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Administration, Planning & Strategy be responsible for:
Coordination and implementation of University policies in the Division;
Implementation of the University Strategic Plan in the Division;
Alignment of administrative systems with University policies and procedures;
Drafting, planning and controlling the Divisional budget;
Advising the University Management Board on matters relevant to the Division;
Keeping custody of the Division’s records;
Supervising all staff in the Division; and
Performing any other duty assigned by the Vice-Chancellor and Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Administration, Planning & Strategy.
For appointment to this position, a candidate must:-
Have an earned Doctorate degree (Ph.D.) in a relevant field from a recognized university;
Have ten (10) years of administrative experience four (4) of which should be at senior level in a university;
Have demonstrated knowledge in the formulation of policies and implementation of guidelines on Administration and Planning of university services;
Have proven knowledge on public sector administration and management including relevant laws, policies, rules and regulations;
Have demonstrable information communication technology skills; and
Meet any other requirements as may be set by Council.
A certificate in a strategic leadership or management course of not less than four (4) weeks duration from a recognized institution will be an added advantage.
