Human Resource Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and organized Human Resource Assistant to join our dynamic export packhouse team. As the Human Resource Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the HR function and ensuring the smooth operation of our export packhouse.

Responsibilities:

Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries, providing guidance on HR policies, procedures, and benefits.
Assist in maintaining positive employee relations by addressing concerns, resolving conflicts, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements by maintaining proper documentation related to employment, safety, and legal standards.
Collaborate with the HR Manager and the finance department to ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll, including tracking hours worked, overtime, and leave balances.
Assist in organizing training programs and workshops to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
Coordinate employee development initiatives and maintain training records.
Coordinate new employee onboarding, including preparing necessary paperwork, and ensuring a seamless integration into the team.
Responsible for staff welfare like employee wellness and staff engagement initiatives.

Qualifications and Skills:

Diploma in human resource management.
At least one (1) year of relevant work experience in human resources management and administration.
IHRM Membership
Knowledge of labor laws and regulations is a plus.
Teamwork Coordination & Supervision 
Excellent documentation skills.
Excellent Problem-solving skills
Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Power Point.
Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.

 Location of the Job

This is a paid, fulltime position and will be based at Farmworks operations office in Kimbimbi Mwea, Kirinyaga County.
