Objectives of the consultancy
The main objective of the consultancy is to provide expert support for marketing and distribution activities planned for each partnership with a BoP component. The Mid-level consultant will work directly with the 2SCALE senior BoP marketing specialist to ensure that the BoP activity calendar is achieved in a timely manner. The specific objectives and their respective tasks are:
To carry on technical advisory for marketing and distribution activities for 2SCALE business champions.
Assist 2SCALE in replicating or mapping consumer insights across partnerships with similar products or market conditions.
Support in the execution of already laid-down strategies in branding and consumer awareness campaigns.
Identify innovative and cost-efficient distribution channels, contacts, and trading terms.
Data collection for cost, volume, and profit analysis to inform partnership lead champion activities; and for 2SCALE to monitor reach to BoP consumers.
Any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Reporting
The consultant will be expected to make weekly activity reports from specific activities such as field travels, training, workshops, advisory meetings with BC, etc.
Required Skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Expert experience in marketing and distribution management preferably FMCG
Experience working with Base of the pyramid consumers
Required Experience
Degree in Marketing or a closely related field-related field
At least 3 years of experience in a sales management role
