Key responsibilities
Strategy:
Work with Country Management Teams (CMT) and the Global HR team to develop a strategic approach to L & D and talent management in country offices, with two overall objectives:
contribute to greater diversity at senior levels across the organisation over time;
contribute to enhanced employee experience, performance and retention for colleagues at all levels.
Objective 1: Leadership Development
Lead on the establishment and implementation of a development programme for talent management across our country programmes, with a focus on future leaders.
Build on internal work already undertaken engage with other INGO who have developed similar programmes and apply learning to Trócaire’s approach.
Work with the Global HR partners, the Overseas Management Group (OMG) and other key stakeholders to achieve practical outcomes in terms of strengthening diversity at management level across the organisation.
Objective 2: Country Team Development
Work with CMTs to ensure a more systematic approach to identifying, resourcing and implementing L&D with all Colleagues in country offices.
Identify suitable service providers in the area of L&D that can support the development of colleagues across ourcountry programmes.
Ensure strong monitoring, evaluation, accountability & learning (MEAL) systems for L&D are in place in countryoffices.
Organisational L&D: Contribute to the development and implementation of organisational L&D strategy ensuring thatthe experience and perspectives of country offices, and equity, diversity & inclusion, are centred in our globalapproach.
Contribute to strong MEAL systems for L&D at organisational level.
Essential Requirements
Third level qualification in a relevant area or a demonstrable track record of Continuous Professional Development in L&D and Organisational Design.
5+ years previous experience in a similar role focused on learning and development and/or organisational development in a diverse, multicultural work environment.
Experience in carrying out a training needs analysis and in the designing and delivering of Learning, Development and Education programmes that have had measurable impact and aligned with the organisational growth and challenge.
Highly skilled in the use of talent management strategies, processes, frameworks, and tools for development; with a demonstrable track record of success.
Fluency in English.
Ability to coach and guide employees on personal development plans.
Energy and passion to influence with peers and stakeholders coupled with excellent communication and facilitation skills.
An excellent communication, good at report writing and analytical skills.
Able to self-direct and to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
Passionate about unlocking potential within diverse and multicultural and has experience of inclusive recruitment practices.
Enthusiasm and positive attitude towards new initiative and when presented with a challenge.
Leadership and able to build and maintain a good reputation of the function and role within the organisation.
