DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The group seeks to recruit a category Lead to work within the Group Supply Chain Category Transformation Team to Support the Company’s journey in transforming its procurement operations across the Group. The role shall work closely with the Group Category Procurement and management initiatives across the Group companies. The role shall also work closely with current procurement teams and respective end users to implement effective category management strategies that will support the short and long-term business objectives.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or Business-related field
Technical /Engineering background and or experience is an added advantage
8+ Years of practical experience in supply chain management preferably within FMCG
Minimum 5 years experience in category management
Experience in SAP ERP Module
CIPS or similar qualifications is an added
Project Management skills and experience is an added advantage
Analytical certifications will be an added advantage
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Strong background and understanding of procurement processes in manufacturing or FMCG Sectors
Previous experience and knowledge in category management across different categories of spend I.e Autospares, fleet & logistics, civils, plant and Equipment, facilities, General indirect items etc.
Previous experience in drafting contracts, negotiating terms, and managing pre and post-contract activities
Ability to extract and extrapolate data and analyze to support decision making
Strong people and persuasion skills to influence at all levels
Analytical mind with strategic thinking ability.
Excellent communication and Interpersonal skills
Self-Starter, takes initiative, and is able to work independently to drive activities to completion
Proficient in MS Office
