Position responsibilities:
The Director of Supply Chain is responsible for overseeing Leading, developing, and executing the strategic vision for the end-to-end supply chain operations encompassing procurement, material planning, logistics, and distribution.
Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers from China, India, and other locations to ensure consistent and reliable supply of materials and components.
Work cross-functionally with production, sales, and finance teams to drive integrated business planning and forecast accuracy.
Implement robust performance management systems and metrics to track supplier performance, delivery accuracy, inventory levels, and cost efficiencies.
Create risk management strategies to mitigate potential supply chain disruptions.
Ensure compliance with local and international trade regulations and standards.
Evaluate and negotiate contracts with suppliers, freight forwarders, and logistics providers to optimize cost, delivery, and quality.
Lead a team of supply chain professionals and provide coaching and development opportunities to enhance team performance.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain and foster a culture of lean, process improvement, and operational excellence.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. An MBA or related advanced degree is highly preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role in the manufacturing industry. Experience in the electric vehicle industry is a plus.
Extensive knowledge and experience dealing with suppliers in China and India.
Proven track record of developing and implementing supply chain strategies that have contributed to the company’s bottom line.
Excellent understanding of supply chain processes, lean methodologies, and ERP systems.
Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
Ability to operate and influence effectively at all levels of the organization.
Strong leadership skills, with proven ability to develop teams and drive performance.
Ability to travel internationally as required
