Operation Manager-Manufacturing Industry

Job Summary
Our client, in the manufacturing industry seeks to recruit an Operation Manager to spearhead the development of strategic production operations plans that reflect the longer-term objectives and priorities established by the board.
Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage the daily operations of the company business
Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to ensure efficiency and effectiveness
Plan production for all units under your supervision
Manage and coordinate logistics and transportation activities to ensure timely delivery of goods
Review established production schedules for all manufacturing departments to ensure established inventory levels are met while operating at the highest efficiency possible
Analyze data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to optimize operations
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment for all staff
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer needs are being met
Prepare and present operational reports, forecasts, and other relevant information to senior management
Remove waste and constraints from the production process to improve efficiencies and enhance productivity
Leads the development and deployment of manufacturing practices focused on quality and continuous improvement.
Overseeing inventory, distribution of goods and facility layout.
Work with the Purchasing Manager to develop and improve supplier relationships for all Plant inputs

Requirements:

Proven track record of successful operations management in the manufacturing industry
Strong leadership and management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to analyze data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Self-motivated with a results-driven approach
Knowledge of construction materials and industry trends
Ability to travel as required

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field preferred
Minimum of 7 years of experience in operations management, preferably in the Manufacturing industry
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and inventory management software
