Responsibilities
Generate reports on the status of the firm’s revenue, unbilledwork in process, accounts receivable, collections, realization rates, billable hours, and cash position.
Prepare Proforma Invoices and Deposit Request Notes to the Partner and/or Advocate responsible for a file for further action and thereafter to clients
Compile and send the monthly statements to clients.
Earmark internal funds transfer reports, including the internal bimonthly internal funds transfer.
Reconciling debtors accounts and ensuring accuracy of balances always
Prepare and send forwarding letters to clients attaching receipts, ETR receipts and the Bill of Costs.
Prepare monthly ETR reconciliation reports and Initiate filling of VAT returns.
Handling disputed invoices expeditiously and negotiating to bring payment within theagreed terms.
Tax planning and compliance to all tax and statutory requirements including VAT, WHT, PAYE, NHIF, NSSF etc.
Ensure that proper policies and accounting procedures are applied consistently following International Financial reporting Standards.
Ensure that costs are always controlled, and resources are efficiently applied under budgets and forecasts across the entire organization.
Prepare the debtors aging summary report and assist in collections, report, ensuring timely payment of outstanding debts and minimizing bad debt exposure.
Manage the fixed asset register: Verification, Depreciation, and disposals.
Qualification & Experience
Academic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business management, Economics, Commerce, or any other Business related course.
CPA (K)
A member of ICPAK
Experience:
At least 4 (Four) years of experience in a busy finance/accounts department
Experience in a computerized financial environment including working with an ERP system.
Credit Control and debt management experience
Knowledge and experience in using Quick Books and Microsoft Dynamics 365.
Work experience in a law firm is an added advantage.

Self-starter with high degree of resourcefulness requiring minimal supervision.
